The enclosed garden, peaceful, colorful, teeming, the poetry, the words, are part of the daily universe of Laurence Sarnette and nourish her creation. Phrases, flowers, insects are born and create a world that is meant to be reassuring and gentle. Alongside this dreamlike world, a more introspective work swings with its big-eyed faces which question our relationship with the outside world.

For her, the wire is more than a pencil, it is a flexible and robust link, which weaves invisible connections and whose projected shadow gives depth and another reading.
